Last week, we shared our boring bathroom with you all and posted a sneak peek of three colors we were planning to use to spice things up. Well, the results are in and we think they’re fabulous!
We were aiming for a stripey, striated pattern. Here’s how we pulled it off:
We taped off the edges and painted the whole wall bright orange.
After that dried, we taped off stripes in varying width with thick Frog Tape.
Then, we blocked off large chunks of each uncovered paint section with more Frog Tape. This was done with no particular rhyme or reason; We just kind of sporadically stuck tape up.
We painted the uncovered paint sections in alternating colors (off-white and yellow) as shown and then carefully peeled off all of the Frog Tape.
A few sections weren’t quite perfect, so we touched those up with some orange paint.
The pattern adds a really fun element to our otherwise boring mid-60s bathroom. Do you have any fun revamps coming up? Tell us about them!
