The Peanuts Movie is almost here, along with Halloween! I’m so stoked to see the updated version of my classic favorite. I’ve been getting our kids prepared to experience the amazingness of the whole Schulz gang by reading them the books and screening every Peanuts DVD I can get my hands on. Have you noticed that Charlie Brown Halloween stuff is popping up everywhere? This season is going to be a Charlie Brown extravaganza . . . and we’re STOKED!
I decided to continue the festivity with my own Charlie Brown Halloween treat. You can totally tell what this is, right?
Make it a Charlie Brown Halloween
How about now?
It’s a Snoopy doghouse!
These cute, reusable Charlie Brown Halloween bags are being given out in Albertsons and Safeway stores for free (while supplies last) to shoppers who purchase three participating items including brands like Horizon Organics, Ziploc, Johnson & Johnson and more.
Crunch bars and Snack Pack were included in the deal, so I nabbed those to create my Charlie Brown Halloween treat. Just melt the Crunch bars a tinsy bit in the microwave – I did a total of 30 seconds at 5 second intervals – and then push them together to form each side of the roof. Let cool, and then lean the two roof pieces against each other and melt for another 20 seconds or so.
I melted some more candy in my Ziploc bags to add white chocolate spider webs. Voila! Charlie Brown Halloween treat for the win. I totally could have added a little Snoopy made of various-sized marshmallows, but I thought the combo of chocolate and jello was MORE than enough sugar for my little dudes. This Snoopy doghouse is made with a few Crunch bars, a jello pack and a little imagination.Click To Tweet
