I was recently asked to join ConAgra Foods in helping fight hunger for the 21.5 million kids who rely on free or reduced-price meals during the school year, but don't get that same support over the summer. Naturally I was like, “Sweet, I love causes that help kids!” And they were all, “But wait, there's more! Chris O'Donnell is championing the cause.” And I was like, “Waitaminute, you're asking if I want to help save children AND mingle with beautiful famous people? This is my dream job.

Whistlestop

I first saw Chris O'Donnell on TV when I was six years old. He was playing Buddy Threadgoode in an early scene of Fried Green Tomatoes. If you've seen the movie, you know the one I'm talking about. The one where he's a hero, the sort of big brother that every girl would like to have. It was at that point that I fell deeply into little-girl-crush with him.

Coincidentally, that was also the exact moment when my jackhat of a stepdad picked up the remote and changed the channel. “This movie's lame!” I didn't get to figure out what happened with Buddy Threadgoode for over 20 years, when it came up in conversation with Nate that I had never seen all of Fried Green Tomatoes. He decided we must rectify that with an immediate trip to Blockbuster, followed by a kitchen adventure to fry our own tomatoes. This is one of the many reasons why I love that man.

Chris O'Donnell

Anyway, Chris O'Donnell is a major stud for reasons aside from the fact that he's gorgeous and happens to play awesome characters on TV. As the youngest of seven and a father of five, Chris O’Donnell has personally connected with the Hunger-Free Summer cause and joined ConAgra Foods to make a difference. He's using his celebrity status to create awareness about the issue and mobilize millions of Americans to take action.
