Easy Halloween Craft: Paper Towel Ghosts

How is your Halloween shaping up? Have you been doing any easy Halloween crafts with the kids? I'd love to hear your ideas! We took the family to the pumpkin patch this past weekend and I've been working on some mason jar Halloween crafts in lieu of jack-o-lanterns this year. I just don't have patience for all the mess right now. Hence why I'm reverting to my old childhood favorite easy Halloween crafts. No muss, no fuss…but they are really darn cute!

Easy Halloween Craft

This easy Halloween craft was one of my favorite things when I was a kid. My sister and I used to make them throughout October, and then we'd create angel versions come Christmastime. A tissue or paper towel + cotton ball + string + marker = ghosts! Simply stick the cotton ball in the paper towel, tie a string to serve as the “neck” and a handy way to hang it up, and then add a smiley face! Tada, spooky cute decor in a flash.

Some Boy's Second Halloween

Last year we all got decked out in Wizard of Oz costumes. This year, we're going a little more low-key as a raccoon family. We're drawing inspiration from the little critters who keep running around our back porch. I found the cutest raccoon costume on sale at Babies R Us for Some Boy, and I already have a raccoon hat for myself that I picked up on our West Coast road trip last year. I ordered one of those Daniel Boon coontail caps for Nate. We are going to be stylish. No homemade costumes this year…pregnancy has zapped away my energy! If Uncle Brian's around, I'll probably snag some rabbit ears or something for him so we can call tromp around as a little critter family together. Assuming I can get the guys to all cooperate, that is.

So that's our quick seasonal update. I'll be sharing more about the big new house undertaking soon!
