There’s a certain all-American burger chain founded here in SoCal that quickly became renowned for their “secret menu.” One of the best things on it? The Neapolitan milkshake, whispered about all over the wild west! It’s a must-try hit with all of our friends from out-of-town, with many repeat visitors demanding we make a stop to pick one up as soon as they land on the San Diego runway.
Here’s how you can recreate the flavor wherever you live…no road trip required.
All you need is a tub of Slow Churned Simple Recipes Neapolitan light ice cream from Dreyer’s (also known as Edy’s east of the Rockies) along with one large glass and three small glasses.
Separately spoon out chocolate, vanilla and strawberry scoops and fill the small cups with mini milkshakes using the three individual flavors. You just need to blend together a large scoop of ice cream with 1/8-cup of milk for each flavor. One of those easy to wash, small smoothie makers helps this part go really fast!
Simultaneously pour your three flavors into the larger glass and watch the flavors meld together in a pretty mosaic. You’ll need a helper for this part, unless you have three hands or are much more coordinated than me.
