One Tree Hill – Season 8 on DVD & UltraViolet

One of my favorite things about many of the television shows I watch is the music. Last season, One Tree Hill Executive Producer Mark Schwahn had different artists sing the theme song (similar to what Weeds has done in the past). I'm partial to the original “I Don't Want To Be” song by Gavin DeGraw, but the various artist versions were interesting and a fun change. Artists included some of my personal favorites like Tegan and Sara, Aimee Mann, Wakey!Wakey!, Augustana and Joshua Radin.

Ah, Joshua Radin. I love that guy. His smooth voice is like…well, like music to my ears. That was definitely my favorite version, but if I could pick anyone to do a cover of “I Don't Want to Be,” it would be Plain White Ts. I adore “Hey There Delilah,” which one of the members actually wrote about a girl he barely knew. Swoon.

Season nine of One Tree Hill premieres on Wednesday, January 11 at 8/7c on The CW! If you missed last season, you can catch up on DVD or UltraViolet.

I have been hired by Warner Bros. WBWord division to promote One Tree Hill Season Eight on DVD. All opinions are my own.
