Oh my GOSH, guys. I think the Easter Bunny screwed with all my stuff. Look at this. It’s a total disaster zone!
The Before Pictures
This is what I call a displacement mess. When you’re focused on one area of the house, another area inevitably falls to the wayside. The victim this time around was my back office/guest room. I don’t even know what half this stuff is. There are my sewing necessities in the corner, some clothes that the baby outgrew, my plants growing in the windowsill and then…holy cow! What IS all that on the bed? Party decor, empty boxes, leftover fabrics, magazines, posters, a laptop bag? Oh! There’s that makeup kit I’ve been looking for.
You can sort of make out the suspect of this crime scene here on the right. We’re affixing this AirStone to the dining nook bench in the kitchen. That project required that we clear out the kitchen of all the nick-nacks and general clutter so we could paint, prep, etc. We’ve been so focused with our update in the front of the house, everything that got in our way or didn’t have an immediately-identifiable spot just ended up back here.
Our Spring Organizing Challenge with Bankers Box
Needless to say, it’s time for a little spring organizing! We got all stocked up on Fellowes Bankers Box stackable storage boxes to get the job done. A good solution since they’re pretty inexpensive and sturdy, and they have these convenient little windows to see what’s inside. We’re putting the bed in a different room and installing some shelving in here while we’re at it. I’m reclaiming my craft room! Stay tuned for all the details later this month…this is gonna be a fun one. I get oddly giddy over spring organization. I know, I’m a cleaning nerd.
If you’re in a hurry to get on top of spring organizing NOW, check out Fellowes Bankers Boxes on Amazon! From April 7-13, they’re having a 15% off promotion. Score!
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Fellowes Bankers Boxes. I received product samples and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
