Yesterday we went to the The Walmart Ice Cream Social while we were out shopping for Memorial Day groceries and party supplies. Nate, Some Boy and I went to the Bright Ideas station, where Walmart spotlights various brands at in-store events.
We got to check out Dreyer’s Slow Churned ice cream, Reddi-Whip whipped cream and Nesquik chocolate syrup.
Some Boy particularly enjoyed his ice cream. What? Okay, Dad may have helped with his portion just a bit.
Dreyer’s Slow Churned ice cream comes in a ton of different flavors, and they even have small containers for a dollar. I like that the small containers come in interesting flavors like Mint Chocolate Chip, so Nate and I can both get flavors we like. This is really helpful for families that have picky eaters with different taste preferences.
We’ve used Nesquik powder for our chocolate milk as long as I can remember, but I’d never tried Nesquik chocolate syrup before. We usually use Hershey’s for our ice cream. Nate is really picky about his ice cream toppings but even he, the die-hard brand loyalist, loved Nesquik! It tasted delicious and I also like that it doesn’t have high fructose corn syrup like Hershey’s does.
In case you missed the event this weekend, there’s another one coming up on July 2nd. Visit Walmart’s event finder to see if a Walmart in your area is hosting The Ice Cream Social then.
I attended The Walmart Ice Cream Social this weekend as part of a project in conjunction with #collectivebias. This shop/project has been compensated as part of a campaign for Nestlé. All opinions are my own.
