I love spring. The holidays have come to an end and people are focusing on themselves, their families, getting priorities in order…and everyone’s cleaning! Having been totally in the nesting phase of pregnancy lately, I can really get on board with all this organization and celebration. It’s great to see everyone around me getting excited about all the great stuff they have going on, and it’s helping me prepare for my own upcoming baby birth.
Shutterfly offers a wide assortment of announcements and photo books to help commemorate your spring celebration. We’ve used them in the past for holiday cards and will definitely be using them for our birth announcements in the next few weeks.
Their birth announcements come in several different sizes, the most common being 5×7, 5×5 and 4×5 inches. I like that a lot of them have the option to include up to six pictures, which is perfect because I know there’s no way I’ll be able to pick just one out of all the adorable photos of our new baby. All announcements come with envelopes and have blank backs so that you can write personal notes to friends and relatives.
I plan to write thank you notes on the back for all the gifts I received at my baby shower. Normally I’d write separate thank you cards but since the shower was so close to the birth, I figure I can get away with combining the two. And it’ll give me something personal to write to everyone.
