I have a thing for TV marriage proposals. From Homer expressing his devotion to Marge with an onion ring to The Office‘s Jim snagging Pam’s heart outside a gas station, I just want to compile them all into a long YouTube video I can watch whenever I want an instant sappy romantic cheer-up and Nate happens to be away. Don’t tell him I said so, but nobody does sappy romantic better than Nate.
Spoiler alert: if you’re a season behind on Chuck, stop reading now.
Avert your eyes!
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
In Season 4, Chuck finally (finally!) proposes to Sarah in what is the single most emotional, heartfelt…and wordless…TV moment I’ve ever seen. Sometimes, nothing needs to be said. I love that the writers captured their feelings without being compelled to throw in a bunch of dialogue (especially since they already covered that in Chuck’s interrupted balcony proposal a couple episodes earlier).
Best 30 seconds ever. Seriously, this gives me butterflies.
In season four, the geek gone spy is putting everything on the line, available for pre-order here: http://bit.ly/r3n2er.
I have been hired by Warner Bros WBWord division to raise awareness for Chuck: The Complete Fourth Season on DVD/Blu-Ray.
