My family has an ongoing debate about who the coolest superhero is. Nate's big on Silver Surfer and some compelling arguments have been made for Superman, but I'm pretty partial to Batman, personally. He has cool gadgets and his deep voice is seriously sexy, and I like a guy with some mystery to him. Plus, Some Boy looks SO cute in his little Batman pajamas. How's that for a good reason? In this house of superhero fanatics, Some Boy is definitely growing up with a thorough knowledge of all the DC and Marvel comic book characters.

Batman LIVE

Batman LIVE coming to Southern California

I was thrilled to find out that Batman is coming to SoCal as part of his World Arena Tour. Batman's first ever live-action arena spectacular is a 15 million dollar stage production with an original story featuring a 43 strong cast of actors and circus trained acrobats, a 3D Gotham City landscape, a bespoke symphonic score, custom-built state-of-the-art stage, a 100 foot bat-shaped LED video wall and pyrotechnics. Of COURSE the impressive Batmobile will be making an appearance, designed especially for the show by legendary racing car designer Professor Gordon Murray. Tickets are on sale now for the Honda Center and Staples Center shows happening through September 30th.

The show is faithfully adapted from the DC Comics we all know and love, with the story focusing on Robin's quest for justice as he follows in the footsteps of his hero, the mysterious vigilante known as Batman. The audience is transported from the Big Top of Haly's Circus to the depths of Arkham Asylum, down the glittering peaks of the Penguin's Iceberg Lounge to the subterranean wonders that await inside the Batcave.
