You all know that we have three kids, a house, an assortment of rowdy animals, and the blog.

On top of all that, though, there's a whole other facet we haven't shared much about. We've made reference to our business a few times, but we've never really gotten into the nitty gritty of what it is that we do. Several people have emailed recently with questions about juggling work and kids, so it seems that now is the time to share our professional lives. Here's a little peek into our juggling act!

The blog itself is a lot of work. On top of that, we own a boutique agency called Millennial Blogs that helps companies connect with bloggers and manages content on brand blogs as well as social channels like Instagram and Pinterest. Some of our amazing clients include folks like Halos and Teleflora. It's a niche operation without investors, which means that we have a ton of freedom to do things our own way. We employ a few talented people who create content and keep the wheels spinning, and Nate and I lean in to deal with management and strategy. Nate also works as a photographer and first responder – those are where his passions are – so the hands-on stuff like client meetings and editing work falls to me.

Most days start glamorously. I drop the boys off in my pajamas, handle a client meeting or two and then tackle laundry. We've been working with AT&T and testing out their new BlackBerry PRIV, and so far I am LOVING it. The highly-anticipated phone marries the security of BlackBerry with the power of Android. It has a handy hub to keep my calendar and communications easily-accessible so I can see what my day looks like at-a-glance and then quickly switch over to my Pandora tunes without wasting time.

Once my laundry's sorted, I get dressed and rush off to an in-person client meeting. I pull up examples of some of their work on my phone, so they can have a visual as we chat informally about their content plan.

I used to be nervous about handling so many important, private details on my phone, but the PRIV has the well-known security of BlackBerry with the DTEK app which lets me check device security status and manage what information is shared with selected apps. I'm an Android nerd through-and-through, so the fact that I can also control Smart Home items and connect with Android Wear devices is absolutely essential. Since I'm on-the-road so much, I rely on Android technology to keep an eye on contractors in our home with the Logi Circle device.

Oh yeah, did I mention that our home is also perpetually under construction?

Yup.

On my way home, I meet with one of our bloggers who also happens to be a dear friend of mine. We catch up over coffee and run some quick errands together (oh, the exciting social lives of working moms!) and I show off my fancy double BlackBerry keyboard. My PRIV has a slide out physical keyboard and a virtual on-screen keyboard as well. Us bloggers geek out over stuff like that.

I pick up the boys from preschool and wrap up a few more details as I attempt to coax them into eating a quick after school snack. The battery on my PRIV is still going, with a whopping 22.5 hours of battery life from its 3410 mAh battery. When I do finally need to plug it in, I can see the charging status on the curved edge.

Now I'm just showing off.

Finally, my work is done and I pack the boys back up for a little community activity. We drop off gifts with the people who help keep my life running – my hairdresser and the ladies at the coffee cart – and then we spend a long time taking video of the twinkling lights with my 4K PRIV camera.

Thank goodness I can easily expand the memory with Micro SD cards up to 2 TB. The kids want  to record every single little thing.

The day ends with a marriage of loved ones and technology, perfectly reflecting my busy day.
