GG and GGpa finally came to meet Sidekick last week! GG and GGpa are short for Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa, respectively, for those who don't speak the Day family lingo.

They were on vacation in Mexico when the little guy was born, and this was their first chance to make the three-and-a-half hour trip from their home to come see us. I'm SO glad they made it right before GG's 75th birthday, so I could give her an Elvis tour Blu-Ray I've been holding onto for awhile as a surprise! GG loves The King.

Sidekick was wide awake for the whole visit…quite an accomplishment for our normally sleepy little guy. He's becoming more and more alert by the day.

We tried really, really hard to get a good picture of the whole group together but it didn't exactly work out.

This is the best I could do. Some Boy looks like he's about to murder someone. Or at least gnaw through their arms with his tiny little chompers.

Some Boy always seems a little bit fascinated with GGpa. I occasionally catch him staring at GGpa silently with a cute sort of reverence, which is particularly endearing when GGpa has obliviously nodded off in front of the television and started snoring with his mouth totally agape. Not that this is a usual occurrence or anything…

Nate and I are planning on driving up to Ventura to see the whole family sometime over the holidays. It'll be our first semi-long road trip with the two little ones. And yes, I'm a little bit terrified at the prospect. Wish us luck!
