surviving school

Everyone's gearing up for back to school already, and parents and students alike are focused on enjoying the rest of the summer while gearing up for a stress-free school year. My best advice for surviving the school year?

Make friends!

Seriously, kids, buddy up. Students should make friends with their classmates to have someone to study with (or borrow notes from in case you happen to drift off during an important part of a lecture). Moms, get to know your kids' friends' parents and consider joining a carpool to give yourself some days free from carting children back and forth. Enlist help when you need it. Don't try to be superwoman! A little assistance can go a long way. But be cautious about who you pair up with. You don't want to get stuck with a friend who will be more of a drain on your energy than a helpful force in your life.
