Palm Frond Rudolph

| | Updated:

How dang cute is this palm frond reindeer? Nana brought it over a couple weeks ago when we were decorating for the holidays. It has a respectable place as the centerpiece on our mantle, alongside our adorable collection of nutrackers. Nana and Papa get a nutracker for each of the kids every Christmas. If we keep popping babies out at our current rate, we're going to have quite the army of walnut-busting buddies!

Palm trees are in abundance here in California, so the idea for this palm frond rudolph came to Nana quite naturally as she was hanging out in her backyard. The greenery get hacked off the top of the giant palm leaf and you're left with a base that splits naturally to take on the appearance of antlers. Add on some googly eyes and a big red craft pom, and rudolph is ready to take center stage.
