Gifts for New Dads. Or ANY Dad Who Wants to be Rad.
A Netflix Subscription. You're going to be spending an awful lot of time on the couch, burping and rocking and feeding. Might as well get cozy and find something to watch. We're still working with the Netflix Stream Team, and our unlimited streaming has definitely come in handy with eight-day-old Minion.
A non-girly diaper bag. TWELVElittle makes amazingly versatile and stylish diaper bags. We've been using the convenient Unisex Courage backpack that has TONS of room and looks super-snazzy when Nate carries it.
Cookware. Dad's gonna be helping out more in the kitchen now that life is that much busier. I got Nate this huge cast iron dutch oven to make it easy for him to serve up dinner for our hungry household. Plus, it works extremely well for camping – and if other dads are anything like Nate, they're itching to get out and show their baby the world as soon as possible!
Baby backpack. Kinderpack is the go-to choice for guys. They come in all sorts of manly patterns (like camo!) so they make perfect gifts for new dads.
Lots of caffeine. Hello, new parent! Welcome to the world of no sleep. You'll probably be here awhile. Offset those long nights with the best possible morning jolt. Moustache Coffee Club let us sample some of their wares recently and we were instantly sold. Every week, the subscription service ships out single-origin coffee from top roasters in the country. It arrives at the peak time for drinking (2 days after roasting) so you're always ready to greet the day with a perfect cup.
A really good camera. We work with Samsung and have been using their newly-released NX1 to capture pictures of our little guy. It's a professional-grade but very user-friendly choice that lets me upload photos to my phone to send out to the relatives instantaneously. As far as gifts for new dads, this definitely tops most parents' wish lists.
An external hard drive. Or a new computer. You have to stash all those memories somewhere. Now is the time to upgrade your equipment if you're short on disc space.
Sustenance. Can you tell that food is a bit of an ongoing issue for me? There is just no time to shop or concoct interesting things when you have a new baby! Each themed box includes six full-size artisan food items with a manual sharing stories and the history behind the items.
