A lot of pies I make call for graham cracker pie crust, which most people buy pre-made at the store. However, graham cracker pie crusts are really easy to make with just three ingredients! Here's the recipe I rely on to make a perfect graham cracker pie crust for all my desserts.
Graham Cracker Pie Crust
One of the plastic-wrapped packages from the graham cracker box plus one whole cracker (or 1 1/2 cups pre-crushed graham crackers)
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter
Crush the graham cracker crumbs thoroughly. I use my Magic Bullet for this.
Mix the sugar into the crushed graham crackers.
Melt the butter (I do this in the microwave in 10 second intervals for about 30 seconds total).
Mix the butter into the graham cracker and sugar combination.
Press the graham cracker pie crust into a pie pan using your fingers.
If the pie you'll be making will be baked, you can go ahead and fill the graham cracker pie crust and bake it when you bake the pie. For recipes that don't call for the pie to be baked, go ahead and bake the crust alone at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Hopefully this graham cracker pie crust recipe will cut costs for your desserts and make your summer just a little bit sweeter!
Yummy. No excuse not to make crust from scratch now!
