I've seen a lot of remote and on-location bachelorette parties, but trendy baby showers don't seem to be such a frequent occurrence. Baby showers are usually pretty mellow: a string of onesies on the wall at the sister-in-law's place, cupcakes hosted at a community building or a low-key brunch. There are such a huge variety of parents, though, I think there should be more baby showers tailored for hip and happening moms and dads. So I created a trendy baby shower for an on-the-go pregnant friend!
For the perfect location, rent a hotel room and create a cute setup with functional items that the mom can take away.
I included a travel pillow and booties that are perfect for the hospital, then added a pop of pink with a mini umbrella. That's something I always keep on-hand now that I have kids who hate getting wet!
Every baby shower has a backdrop, and ours was no different. Flowy infiniti scarves serve as both pretty decor and much-appreciated layering items for that awkward post-baby-having phase when pre-pregnancy clothing fits awkwardly. Of course, we can't forget a sign with baby's initial!
JOHNSON’S® is unveiling an adorable line of limited edition Circo designer bottles, sold exclusively at Target and Target.com. I've professed my love for the brand and for Target a number of times, so I'm super-stoked about the partnership. These bottles make for the best decorations for trendy baby showers! A chevron silverware organizer coordinated well with the design and served as a perfectly-fitted display.

The mom-to-be confessed to me that she actually used the bubble bath herself after everyone cleared out. I'm glad someone took advantage of the huge whirlpool hot tub. Seriously, look at that thing!
