As long as I can remember, my family has had candy craft time. When I was a kid we weren't allowed to have a lot of sweets. When we did have them, it was a big deal and my mom made sure it was special for us. We'd get candy corn and M&Ms at the beginning of each holiday season and make special treats from Halloween through Christmas.
It made me really appreciative of these little sweets and above that, it helped me think outside of the…err…candy wrapper, so to speak. I still make sweets extra special for my own kids with candy craft time.
It doesn't have to be anything big or complicated. Just divide M&M's out into separate colors and lay them on some white board to make a simple candy craft design. Glue them onto cardboard for a long-lasting design that they can show off at school, or just write out sweet nothings to each other in M&M's colors.

Make a rainbow.
Write your name.
Make numbers and letters.
You could totally incorporate M&Ms into Mummy Candy Bars.
Make some candy trail mix.
How about candy popcorn?
Or, since it's Christmas, your elf can get into them and use them as one more sneaky way to communicate with your kids.
